Brown, Richardson + Rowe

Brown, Richardson + Rowe, located at 65 Franklin Street in downtown Boston, Massachusetts, has developed an extensive portfolio of historic site work over the past 4 decades. Since our founding as a women-owned business (WBE) in 1981, we have worked to preserve, rehabilitate, and restore these important cultural resources. Many New England Sites contain overlapping layers of historical significance. Our task as designers is to adapt the existing spaces to honor the history of the site while also considering current needs for accessibility and evolving desires for community engagement. BRR practices landscape architecture, urban design, planning, and environmental analysis, and in addition to historic landscapes, we have successfully completed public and private projects, including waterfront parks, campus planning, streetscape improvements, mixed-use housing developments, and more. BRR is committed to furthering sustainable design, and has completed significant LEED certified projects across Massachusetts.
