William Finch: Principal, Finch & Rose, Preservation & Design Consultants for conservation, repair and restoration of historic buildings. Finch’s work includes field investigation, restoration specifications, design, and construction review. Prior experience as an Associate at Preservation Technology Associates involved substantial hands-on work in a broad range of preservation, rehabilitation and restoration of 18th and 19th century historic structures.  He also has served as a Historical Architect at the Massachusetts Historic Commission. He has written well over 80 reports, including Historic Structures Reports, Condition Reports, and results of restoration work. The firm’s projects include the 18th century Choate barn, the barn complex at Castle Hill and the Appleton Farm. He was awarded the Master’s of Architecture from MIT. 

Victor Wright: Owner of The Heritage Company, received the coveted Preservation Trades award for his long-time work in the field of slate roofing and coppersmithing. Roofing contracting dates back four generations in Wright’s family; the third to specialize in slate and copper roofing.  Sixty percent of the work done by The Heritage Company deals with historic preservation.  A unique aspect of the work done by Wright’s company is following the old school guidelines for all their jobs.  Wright believes the old way is still the best way to build or restore a roof.
 


Richard Lazarus: Proprietor, Lazarus & Company, House and Barn Riggers. Mr. Lazarus has worked on, in and under more than 300 houses, barns and other structures. Over the years his company’s specialty has become the structural repair of timber-framed barns and houses and their foundations. His company has moved or lifted over 100 buildings. All their work is on antique structures. Repairs are completed using traditional framing techniques but with modern tools. He has received  awards from numerous preservation organizations.

Arron J. Sturgis: Mr. Sturgis is the owner of Preservation Timber Framing, Inc., specializing in the structural repair of historic timber framed buildings.  He has restored over 40 buildings, including 19 that were listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  He has supported several historical societies and preservation commissions in their work, and is an active member of the Traditional Framers Research and Advisory Group.  Sturgis has also lead numerous teaching workshops.
